 1. My name is Gianmarco Ramirez. I am currently 23 years old and i am from Miami, Florida. I am of Colombian descent as my parents are both from the country. i am a first generation college student at Florida State University majoring in English EWM and minoring in Education. i look forward to graduating in the summer or the fall, depending on how much i get finished by the end of summer. 

2. i have used technology extensively in educational settings. it seems as if every class i take, especially in the last year due to covid, i have to use some sort of technology whether it be a laptop or phone. i use my ipad to write essays, my laptop for researching purposes, and my phone to stay updated on assignments due in my classes. technology in incredibly necessary for college. 

3. for my learning goals, the personal learning networks i use are blogger and twitter. i have taken EME2040 in the past and i have found that blogger in incredibly useful for organizing thoughts and assignments. i also use twitter for the purposes of staying up to date with educational news and blogs that have important and up-to-date information on education. both of these have useful purposes when used correctly and efficiently in the classroom.

 1. I’ve used Microsoft Word my entire education career. I’ve always found the program user friendly and essential for both students AND teachers alike. I've found that assignments and essays can be done efficiently through Microsoft Word. I would like to expand my knowledge on formatting and the use of cover pages. I prefer the use of Microsoft Word because of the experience I've gained through it and how easy it is to send documents with it, whereas Google docs may take a few extra steps to get the right file format. 2. The ISTE Standards for Educators is a blueprint for efficient learning for both educators and students using new technology that the 21st century has offered. The Leader standard helps student confidence through access and engagement with such new technology.  1. Ive thoroughly enjoyed using twitter so far this semester. i am an avid Twitter user outside of this class so using it for educational purposes is a lot of fun. i havent been interacting with too many people outside of some the tech talks, but i am always open to expanding my digital profile in terms of my educative twitter profile. twitter can be very useful in my career field. i can have classes follow a main twitter account (mine) and i will have updates on education talks and maybe reminders for certain students that assignment due dates are upcoming. twitter may be a distraction considering it is a popular social media site, but if used properly it can be a major help for students and teachers. 2.
