1. As a teacher, data collection can be very beneficial when trying to understand your students. For example, surveys can be used to see if students understand concepts, assignments, and/or author perspective. Those who have trouble or issues on an assignment can be highlighted through the survey. It can help those students who lack the confidence to ask the teacher themselves for extra help on concepts and assignments. Surveys also can be used to understand the overall perspective of the class by asking them how they prefer to learn certain topics, and have an abundance of choices for them to choose from. Surveys can help students be more comfortable and more open with their teachers considering their answers to a survey comes from their opinions. 2.
