 1. As a teacher, data collection can be very beneficial when trying to understand your students. For example, surveys can be used to see if students understand concepts, assignments, and/or author perspective. Those who have trouble or issues on an assignment can be highlighted through the survey. It can help those students who lack the confidence to ask the teacher themselves for extra help on concepts and assignments. Surveys also can be used to understand the overall perspective of the class by asking them how they prefer to learn certain topics, and have an abundance of choices for them to choose from. Surveys can help students be more comfortable and more open with their teachers considering their answers to a survey comes from their opinions.

2. I believe that the more interesting blog posts were the ones asking students how they felt about distance learning, such as zoom and skype. Considering we are all a year into the pandemic, where education has been completely changed to Zoom interactions, it is interesting to see how fellow students are coping with the changes. I am also interested to see if their opinions on distance learning has changed from the beginning of the pandemic. Some students take classes online to begin with, too, so I wonder if that change during the pandemic has affected them at all.

3. I would like to learn Microsoft Excel and its features. I feel as if learning how to master the program is an important skill because teachers seem to use it a lot for the purpose of organization such as grades, participations, and attendance. I also know that excel can be used for mathematical reasons too, so it will also help me because i am terrible at math. Organizational purposes will be the biggest reason, however, because it can be incredibly easy to fall behind on grades and assignments, something Excel can vastly help with.
